Collegium 419 is a vocal ensemble specializing in music of the 16th to 18th century, aiming at historical performance praxis of high Renaissance as well as early and high Baroque vocal music with or without instrumental accompaniment.
There are still relatively few ensembles with similar specialization in the Czech Republic. Collegium 419 therefore aims for studying and staging ensemble and choral works, which are well-known and often shown in Europe but which still remain undiscovered or rare in Bohemia.
When interpreting works with orchestral accompaniment, Collegium 419 works with outstanding instrumental ensembles that follow historical performance praxis of early music, e.g. Hipocondria Ensemble, La Gambetta, Ritornello and others.

Czech Dinner

The venue of the conference dinner is the Grand Monastery Restaurant which is situated in the extensive complex of Strahov Premonstratensian Monastery which is located near the Prague Castle at the beginning of the Royal Way. The waiting staff will be dressed in stylish period costume. The cuisine offered during the evening will be served in wide buffet style, and will also include traditional Bohemian specialties prepared according to age-old recipes. The served wine comes from the Moravian Premonstratensian cellars and bears the name of the founder of the order – St Norbert. You can also enjoy the music from a band performing evergreens and world-known melodies. Come and enjoy this wonderful evening!

Bus transportation from the Symposium Venue and back included.
